Since graduating from Wright State in 2013 with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre, Melissa has appeared frequently with various theatre companies in both the Columbus and Dayton Ohio areas, with leading roles in both musicals and plays. Highlights include Cathy in The Last Five Years (Short North Stage), Harper in Angels in America (Parts 1 and 2, Short North Stage), Jo March in Little Women (Dare To Defy), The Witch in Into The Woods (Warehouse Theatre Company), Sheila in Hair (Short North Stage), Alysha in Fugitive Songs (Short North Stage), and Fanny Brice in Funny Girl (Festival Playhouse). Most recently, she has performed as Reza in Once (Lamb’s Players Theatre in San Diego CA) and Yitzhak in Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Short North Stage).

Melissa is an accomplished cellist, and on multiple occasions has utilized her cello skills onstage in the musical theatre (Fugitive Songs, The Legend Of Jim Cullen, Once).

In addition to theatre, Melissa has performed as jazz vocalist with Vaughn Wiester’s Famous Jazz Orchestra, a 21-piece big band in the Columbus area.
